Ruben Neves has apparently decided to join Al Hilal after talks with Barcelona broke down.
Transfer market pundit Fabrizio Romano announced on his social media accounts on Monday (Nov. 19) that “Wolverhampton and Al Hilal have agreed on the transfer of Neves. The transfer fee is 55 million euros (approximately KRW772 million). Neves’ contract was due to expire next summer.”
On the 20th, he listed the details of Neves’ transfer. According to Romano, the original deal with Barcelona fell through. Wolverhampton and Al-Hilal have since agreed on a €55 million transfer fee, with a contract that will run until 2026. The main part of the medical has already been completed and an official announcement is expected this week. 안전놀이터
Neves joined Wolverhampton from FC Porto in 2017 and quickly established himself in the first team, making 42 appearances in the English Championship (Second Division) in his first season, helping the club to promotion to the English Premier League (EPL). Since then, Neves has continued to showcase his skills in England’s top flight.
Having consistently played over 30 EPL games each season, Neves is now the team captain and has a huge impact on the squad both on and off the field. This season, he was again a key player, scoring six goals and providing one assist in 35 league appearances. He was third in minutes played and, despite playing in the midfield, was tied for first on the team in goals with Daniel Fodens.
However, this season has been a bit of a disappointment for Wolverhampton. A poor start to the season led to the firing of manager Bruno Raz. The team rebounded somewhat in the second half of the season after the appointment of Julen Lopetegui. They finished 13th. They were fortunate to avoid relegation, as they had fallen to the bottom of the league.
This is where the Neves transfer rumors come in. Neves is out of contract at Wolverhampton next summer. At 26 years old and in the prime of his career, he is beginning to look for a new challenge. Before the start of this season, he was linked to Manchester City. More recently, he has been linked with Barcelona.
According to 메이저사이트추천 Birmingham Live, a local Birmingham newspaper, “Neves will leave Wolverhampton this summer. Several clubs, including Barcelona, have been monitoring him and he will now look for a new club after six years at the club. For now, Neves prefers to join a team that plays in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).”
Suddenly, however, Al Hilal has become the favorite. Al Hilal was until recently the favorite to sign Lionel Messi. They tried to convince him with a huge salary offer, but were unsuccessful. Since then, they’ve been targeting other top European players, including Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly.
