Inter Milan defeats Fiorentina to win the Coppa Italia title.
Inter Milan came from behind to defeat Fiorentina 2-1 in the final of the 2022-23 Coppa Italia at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy, on Friday. The victory was Inter’s second straight Coppa Italia title and ninth overall. Inter’s Lautaro Martinez scored a multi-goal game to lead the Nerazzurri to the come-from-behind victory.
The Nerazzurri continue their quest for the double this season, as they are also in the UEFA Champions League final. Fiorentina, who are in the UEFA Conference League final this season, failed to win the Coppa Italia.
Inter Milan started with Lautaro Martinez and Zeko up front against Fiorentina, with Chalhanoglu, Brozovic, and Varela in the middle. Di Marco and Dumfries played on the flanks, while Bastoni, Acerbi, and Darmian defended. Handanovic was in goal.
Fiorentina started Cabral up front, with Icone, Bonaventura and Gonzalez leading the attack. Amrabat and Castrovilli formed the back line, while Viraghi, Lucas Martinez, Milenkovic, and Dodo were in charge of the defense. Terraziano was in goal 먹튀검증.
In the match between the two sides, Fiorentina opened the scoring just three minutes into the match through Gonzalez. Gonzalez rattled the Inter net with a right-footed finish off a ball from Icone in front of the goal.
The Nerazzurri fought back, and in the 29th minute, Lautaro Martinez scored to level the game. Martinez converted Brozovic’s through ball into a diagonal right-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area to find the corner of the Fiorentina goal.
Inter Milan then pulled a goal back in the 37th minute through Lautaro Martinez. Lautaro Martinez rattled the Fiorentina net with a right-footed finish from a Varela cross in the middle of the penalty area as Inter came from behind to win the Coppa Italia.
