Korean fans expecting foreign reporters…”The heat is different from Japan”

“Tokyo was great, but it doesn’t compare”.

Manchester City will host Atletico Madrid at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Tuesday (Nov. 30) in a pre-season friendly for the Coupang Play Series.

On the 29th, after the press conferences of Matteo Kovacic and Pep Guardiola, the City players took to the pitch at the Seoul World Cup Stadium for an open training session in front of the fans.

Despite the high temperature of 31.5 degrees Celsius and humidity of 63%, the players were in good spirits.

The players gathered in a circle in the center of the pitch and after a short message from Guardiola, they did some light stretches.

The team then went into attacking drills, using the north goal. Goalkeeper Ederson, Stephane Ortega, Scott Carson, and others took turns putting on the gloves, while Kevin De Bruyne, Elling Holland, and Julian Alvarez received penetrating passes and took shots. The fans responded to each gesture with loud cheers. 먹튀검증

In the pre-match press conference, Guardiola said, “I’m happy to be touring Asia, we’re in good shape and we’ll work hard tomorrow. I’m excited to face a really strong team (Atletico Madrid) tomorrow. We will do our best.”

Man City journalist Sam Lee is accompanying the team on this pre-season tour. He spoke highly of City’s tour of Korea, admiring the Korean fans.

“The support from the Korean fans is overwhelmingly enthusiastic. They have been consistently giving us the best support from the time we arrive at the airport to other public events,” he said.

“The Korean fans have been lining up outside the venue as well as inside to welcome City fans with enthusiasm. We’ve seen great support in Tokyo, Japan, but this is nothing compared to that.”
