On the afternoon of the 14th, the award ceremony for the ‘Baseball Press Photo of the Year’ held by the Korea Sports Photography Reporters Association and KBO was held at the OSEN office building conference room in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The main character of the 2022 ‘Baseball Press Photo of the Year Award’ was selected by SSG Landers outfielder Kim Kang-min. Kim Kang-min was selected as the ‘Baseball Press Photo of the Year’ for a dramatic scene with a home run to end a pinch-hit reversal in the bottom of the 9th inning against Kiwoom in Game 5 of the 2022 KBO Korean Series.

The 토토 main character of the ‘Baseball Press Photo of the Year’ is selected through a vote by Korean sports photojournalists among the players who played an active part in the 2022 KBO League. The Korea Sports Photo Reporters Association is a sports division of the Korea Photo Journalists Association, which was established in 1964. It was formed in 1990 and has been active in the sports field for 32 years this year.

The newly established ‘Baseball Press Photo of the Year Award’ this year selected the final winner by combining the votes of all steering committee members of the Photo Journalists Association and members of sports magazines.
