Korea’s best amateur middle school futsal competition, ‘5v5 Gatorade Futsal 2023’ national champion was HAAN FC.
HAAN FC defeated P4U FS 3-0 in the final of the ‘5v5 Gatorade Futsal 2023’ national championship held at HM Futsal Park in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do on the 20th. HAAN FC has qualified for the world competition in Europe next year. HAAN FC, which passed the Siheung preliminaries in 4th place, demonstrated its potential in the most important championship and even won the championship.
HAAN FC showed a sticky performance throughout the tournament. After passing through the round of 16 against Cheil FC in a penalty shootout, they defeated Baegotjung FC 1-0 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Deokso FC succeeded in reaching the final after a close match that also went to a penalty shootout. The final opponent was P4U FS, which showed the most stable performance in this tournament. Contrary to expectations that it would be a tight match, it was a one-sided match. HAAN FC won the match with Kwon Sang-woo’s multi-goal and Kim Sang-woo’s goal.
HAAN FC, a hobby class at Haan Middle School in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, is a hobby class created by teacher Daesang Kim with the best soccer players in Haan. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams from each group advanced to the Round of 16. As they were strong players who passed the regional qualifiers, fierce battles unfolded in every game. In Group C, HAAN FC (B) took 1st place with 4 wins and 1 draw, and Pungdong Futsal took 2nd place with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.
In Group D, CW Soccer Futsal Club took 1st place with 4 wins and 1 draw. 11 goals – showed perfect performance without conceding. Seongnam Middle School took 2nd place with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. In Group E, Wanju Middle School took 1st place with 4 wins and 1 draw. He scored 14 goals, the most in the group stage. Group A’s Annam 2nd grade, Group B’s Hwan Hee-young, Group C’s Chungam Middle School, and Group D’s Toy FC were wild cards among the 3rd place teams and rode the last train of the round of 16. After the group stage, various prize draw events were held, and the players, as well as parents and friends who came to support them, enjoyed it together.
