Philadelphia is in contact with Vogel.
The Philadelphia 76ers have interviewed Frank Vogel to become their next head coach, NBC Sports reported on Thursday (Nov. 24).
Philadelphia recently parted ways with head coach Doc Rivers, who led the team for three seasons. Rivers led the team to the second round three years in a row, but failed to do much more than that.
Having never made the Conference Finals in the Joel Embiid era, Philadelphia is very hungry for a championship, which is why the new head coaching candidates include Frank Vogel, Nick Nurse, and Mike Budenholzer, all of whom have recent championship experience.
One name that stands out is Frank Vogel. While Nelson and Budenholzer were at the helm of NBA teams prior to this season, Vogel spent a year as a free agent after his contract expired with the Lakers at the end of last season 스포츠토토.
Vogel, who came to the Lakers after stints with Indiana and Orlando, led the Gold & Purple to a championship in the Orlando bubble in the 2019-2020 season. Vogel would lead the Lakers for two more seasons before the team fell into a serious slump.
Vogel has a taste for championships, having played alongside Anthony Davis during his time with the Lakers. If he joins Philadelphia, he’ll have another top-tier big man in Joel Embiid.
It will be interesting to see if Vogel, a former coach in Philadelphia, decides to return to the Sixers. It will be interesting to see if he does.
