Coach Jose Bordalas (58), who led Valencia and coached Lee Kang-in (22, Real Mallorca), was mentioned as the next Korean national team coach.
Spanish media AS and Mundo Deportivo reported on the 18th (Korean time), “Korea has contacted coach Bordalas. They are interested in his recruitment.”
While attention is focused on the appointment of the next Korean national football team coach, the name of the first candidate came out.
After joining Hercules CF (Spain) in 1980, Bordalas played for FC Espanyol San Vicente, Orihuela Deportiva, Villajoyoza, FC Torrevieja and FC Espanyol San Vicente. He occupied his position as a forward striker.
Bordalas took off his football boots at the early age of 28 without leaving a significant active career.
After that, he began to walk the path of a leader in earnest. After taking the helm as a manager for the first time at CD Eldense, he took the helm of Municipal Perez Zeledón (Costa Rica), Hercules CF, CD Alcoyano, Elche CF, and AD Alcorcon (above Spain).
Bordalas, who took over as manager of Deportivo Alaves in the summer of 2015, managed Getafe from September 2016 to June 2021. Currently living as a savage, the last team he was in charge of was Valencia, where Lee Kang-in played. He has been in charge of the team since 2021 for one season.
However, his relationship with Lee Kang-in did not last long. Manager Bordalas took over in early July 2021, and Lee Kang-in moved to Real Mallorca at the end of August. He even criticized his team over Lee Kang-in’s release through an interview with the local media.
AS explained, “Bordalas has not had a team he has been managing since May 2021. Since he left Valencia that summer he has not coached another team.”바카라
“When many clubs sack existing managers, Bordalas is one of the main candidates for replacement managers,” he said. “The Korea Football Association is known to have contacted him.”
However, Bordalas has never led the national team. The media said, “Boradallas has no experience in directing the national team. He started his coaching career at a club in Spain and ended his coaching career at Valencia. His best career as a coach was when he was leading Getafe. With great success I spent five seasons at Getafe,” he emphasized.
Bordalas promoted Alaves to the top division in the 2015-16 season, and led Getafe to 5th place in the 2018-19 season. Last season, they took Valencia to the Copa del Rey final. In the 2018-19 season, he was named UEFA (European Football Federation) La Liga Manager of the Year.
Previously, Michael Müller (58, Germany), the new head of the Korea Football Association’s new National Team Power Enhancement Committee, said, “We are conducting a logical and comprehensive appointment process. After making a list to some extent, we will conduct an interview and evaluate it.” The process of making a list and reporting it to the association is planned. Finally, we plan to meet in person to negotiate and sign an autograph.” Will Boradalas be able to establish a relationship with Korea?
