Lionel Messi is not the world’s top scorer. It’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
On July 7, soccer content company score90 published a list of players who have scored the most goals for their clubs since the 2000s. They didn’t include goals scored for the national team.
At the top of the list is Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo scored 718 goals in his professional career. He scored five goals for Sporting Lisbon and 145 for Manchester United. His scoring exploded during his time at Real Madrid. He scored 450 goals.
He also scored 101 goals for Juventus. Currently wearing the colors of Al Nasr in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has scored a total of 14 goals. Although not included in this list, Ronaldo has scored 123 goals for the Portuguese national team 먹튀검증.
Next up is the “GOAT,” Messi. Messi scored 672 goals in 778 games for Barcelona. He then moved to Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored 32 goals in 75 games. That may seem like a bit of a drop-off from his Barcelona days. However, Messi also had 35 assists.
Messi then headed to the United States. He”s still going strong in the United States. In his four games for Inter Miami, he has scored seven goals, which is more than a goal per game. Messi now has 716 career club goals. He’s not far behind Ronaldo, so it’s not like he’ll be able to overtake him anytime soon.
Third on the list is Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski has scored 542 goals. He played for Lech Poznań, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and now Barcelona.
In reality, Lewandowski has scored more than 542 goals, but several organizations, including the IFFHS, the world’s leading soccer statistics organization, do not recognize his second division goals as an official record. At his best, Lewandowski’s goalscoring prowess was formidable. At Bayern Munich, he once scored five goals in nine minutes.
He’s followed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic (496 goals) and Luis Suarez (458).
